Once upon a time

the only big game to play was the famous and still wildly popular Dungeons & Dragons, today there is enormous library of games out in the world for just about every setting you can imagine: sci-fi, cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, horror, and much more! There are major publishing companies that provide opportunities to play in the world of some of your favorite movies and video games and a sea of indie creators that have hundreds of stories written for you to enjoy through your character, some of those creators even living right here in Arizona!   

Here at Crit Hit we do our best to provide you with a little taste of everything! Since 2016 we have cultivated an amazing community of Game Masters (a.k.a. GMs) and feature some of the largest variety of RPG systems out there!

Board Games? Oh, everyone knows board games, Monopoly, right?

Well not exactly, although we do have a collection of retro board games available where you could find a copy of Monopoly…. but back on track. When we say we have board games we mean we have all those big pretty boxes you see on YouTube reviews and recently lining your local Target and Barnes & Nobles shelves, (although we always encourage you to shop at your friendly local game store first!) that offer all types of gameplay: strategy, cooperative, deck-building…there’s and endless amount and it can be easy to get overwhelmed especially of you are new to the games. 

Lucky for you, not only do we maintain an updated copy of all the board games available in our library, but we also have board game GMs available to teach you how to play! We also incorporate the use of the free app Dized that can walk you through how to play many popular titles on your own! And if you’re a seasoned pro already, just grab an open table, check out what you want to play from the library, or feel to bring your own, and get started! We have “Players Wanted” signs available for use as well and hopefully you walk away from your game with some newfound friends!

“Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller.

A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon.
