If you are going to play a trading card game, going the Living Card Game (LCG) is the way to go. When sets are released, they are released as complete sets. Meaning that when you buy a box or booster, you get the exact same cards as anyone else buying the booster/box. This takes away the whole buying random cards and hoping for something good. One of the cool parts of the LotR LCG is that they promise “Each event has a different alternate art card for players, but only the in-store Fellowship Event offers players the unique Fellowship 2016 playmat!”
Go be a trixie hobbitz at 1pm, Game Depot
Geeks and Gamers (GaG) is local private social club that likes to…well, be social! They normally do private events such as movie nights, board/card/rpg nights, video game parties and all manner of geekery, but they are doing a open to the pubic BBQ/Game Day. GaG focuses on low key, no drama fun and they are always looking for new people to hang out with. Get out and be socially awkward with other socially awkward people! RSVP for more details.
Our friends over at the Arizona Pathfinder Society are doing this crazy senario with cosmic portals and creatures trying to break though. From what it sounds like, each table will affect the other tables senarios. Oh and they are using Syrinscape (which I will post about very soon).
